Joglo Farm Welcomes Dutch Guests for BSF Maggot Farming Training

In 2023, Joglo Farm once again garnered global attention with the arrival of guests from various countries, including Bryan and Sjuul from the Netherlands. For a week, the two visitors learned firsthand about Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot farming at Joglo Farm and explored various environmentally friendly livestock and agricultural products. They were particularly interested in the potential of maggots as a sustainable feed alternative, especially to support sustainable farming practices in the Netherlands.

During the training, Bryan and Sjuul gained a comprehensive experience of the BSF maggot lifecycle, from raw material management to the utilization of technology in maggot development. They also enjoyed various processed products produced by Joglo Farm, such as animal feed and organic fertilizers, showcasing how modern farming can produce high-quality products while prioritizing sustainability. “Having the opportunity to learn at Joglo Farm means a lot to us, as we have learned many new things that we can take back to the Netherlands to apply,” said Bryan.

Bryan and Sjuul’s visit is evidence of the growing global interest in innovative farming practices that support sustainability and organic waste management. Joglo Farm hopes that this visit will mark the beginning of a broader collaboration in spreading knowledge about useful BSF maggot farming at an international level.
